26th April 2012
Windsurfing: Alton Reservoir
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: F1 - F5
Surf / Sea State: flat
Air Temperature: 13C
Sea Temperature: cold
Weather: cold
Max Speed: guess mid
Distance Covered: 1hr (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

check Felixstowe, meet up with Paul S ripping on 5.0M
Sea still look OK @ high tide, but didn’t finish work till 5.15 so didn’t think anyone would be there and wont sail on my own, so stopped at Alton Res.
Of course the few said I “missed it”. It was F1 to F6 (gusty and *rap) really. Unbelievably the few were on 6.0M, rigged 7.7M / 135L and had a reasonable 20 mins blasting and 40 mins wallowing.
Forgot GPS, but might have recorded some decent times.
The ressy has 2 things going for it, rescue and I can gybe easy on the flat water , but I still wouldn’t recommend it in a west or Sw coming off the land really, might as well watch TV as its too gusty.
Still 2nd sail of the year, so have kick started the sailing fitness.
